Imagine this...

Hello Blogland!

I can't express how excited I got when I was invited to join this project. Taking on a blog with this group of ladies makes it feel a lot less overwhelming and a lot more welcoming.
I am a wife, a mom, a crafter of many things, and certainly a dreamer. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for just over 8 years and my hubby retired from the military about a year ago. HOOAH! We have two DSs and I will sometimes lovingly refer to them as Monster (7 years) and Bear (5 years).
We have 3 furbabies, all dogs. Two oldies, but goodies, that we have had for 10 years and 1 wolf hybrid that is my DH's service dog (he is just under a year old).
We go through a lot of ups and downs being a prior military family, but deployments have made us stronger, as individuals and as a family.
I love to craft things and I recently started learning to sew from my mom. I feel very strongly about family and find the closeness of that bond to be quite sacred.
I'm a lover of all things Disney and a firm believer in letting kids be kids for as long as they can.
The real world is rough enough and I cherish their innocence, but that does not by any means mean to hide them from the world!
I'm hoping this blog becomes a place of open information and great resources because none of us are perfect. I'm on a mission to eat better, exercise more, love harder, laugh more, and just enjoy life. Like many of you, I'm still figuring it all out too, so lets get started figuring it out together!

Lady Runner, at your service

As you can probably tell from my "code name," I am a runner. I have not always been a runner, but in the past year, it has become a long awaited love story.

I have two of the most beautiful daughters I could have ever dreamt for. They are one and a half, and almost 3. They are the light of my life. And the reason I run.

My husband and I have a hilarious story that I'll save for another time.

We have a boxer and are awaiting the upcoming date for bringing home our new puppy girl Mastiff.

I am a hardcore breastfeeding advocate. I believe in positive self talk. I do not believe one mother is better than another simply because of her choice of parenting style. I believe in lifting other women up, not tearing them down. It's hard enough doing what we do, we don't need to criticize each other in the process.

I'm busy, we all are. I am so excited about being able to share the craziness of my life with you. I want to offer advice, joy, hope, and a little humor sprinkled here and there.

If you have specific questions that you want us to answer, please post or message us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheNaptimeBloggers.

We know being a mom is hard. Trying to juggle that with being a woman is even harder.

Introducing, Lady Luck!

Hey there! Welcome to the page. I'll be the first to introduce myself. I'm Lady Luck. I am the mom to a 7 yr old son (DS) and a 5 yr old daughter (DD). I'm almost two years into my second marriage and very very happy with it. I'll be blogging about tips, tricks, parenting advice, marriage truths, general parenting humor, and just randomness. Mostly I love to laugh and find humor in anything, but I'm also pretty good with advice and hope to help some new moms. We have a great admin panel.here and I'm really looking forward to it! ♧Lady Luck
